Ahana Naskar

Ahana Naskar

Ahana Naskar is a sophomore at Jesuit High School. She has been playing the violin for 9 years and currently studying with Hong Chou at Pacific Violin Academy (PVA) since 2018. In the summer, she joins the chamber music program at PVA and learns to play chamber music repertoire. Ahana is working towards the completion of the ASTA certification and has recently tested for ASTA level 9.

She joined the Metropolitan Youth Symphony (MYS) in 2016 and has served as the principal first violinist in her group. She will be playing as a part of the Symphony Orchestra (the highest-level orchestra at MYS) for the 2023-24 term.

Being a strong advocate for music accessibility, she will serve as a member of Project Prelude this Fall and will be teaching elementary students who otherwise may not have an opportunity to learn and play a musical instrument.

She has also participated in several Chinese cultural festivals over the last few years. She has also played as a part of the Aaron Meyer “Rock the Holiday” concert series in 2022. She enjoys these musical activities tremendously.
