Aiden Jing-Jie Whelan

Aiden Whelan began his passion for music at an early age when his parents noticed his affinity towards the music of Josh Groban starting at 2 months old. As Aiden grew he would “perform” Josh Groban songs by imitating his singing and piano. This led to his desire to begin piano lessons. Aiden had his first piano lesson at the age of 4, and has continued to play piano to the present day. As Aiden grew older, his musical tastes also grew, and enjoys many genres of music from classical to rock. Aiden has performed in many recitals and competitions receiving honors and winning the 2021 MMTA State Competition in the Junior A category. Today, Aiden enjoys practicing and playing both the piano and drums, having his first drum lesson when he was 9. He also enjoys playing rugby, biking, swimming, fencing, watching football, and playing video games.
