Alex Lorca

ALEX LORCA, HORN PLAYER
Young Chilean horn player, born in the south of Chile in the city of Valdivia. In 2016 relocates to the city of Santiago and begins his undergraduate studies at the Universidad Mayor with Professor Edward Brown
He is also a member of the “wind section” of the National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
He participated in masterclasses with Laura Klock (USA), Paulo Muñoz (Chile), Emanuele Urso (Italy), Matías Piñeira (Chile), Ignacio García (Chile), Dariuz Mikulski (Poland), Bernhard Scully (USA), David Cooper (USA) and chamber music with Dudu Carmel (Israel Oboist Philharmonic).
He participated in international tours with the “Coda Quintet” in Israel, Greece and Palestine, and with the “National Youth Symphony Orchestra” in Morocco, Germany and Spain.
He has been a member of the “Orquesta Filarmónica de Los Ríos”, “Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Mayor”, “Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Juvenil” and “Coda Quintet”.
He is currently coursing a degree in “Pedagogical and Instrumental Improvement” at the Catholic University of Chile. He also recently received First place in the “Summer edition” of the Kings Peak International Music Competition.
