Alexander Jovanovic is 9 years old and a third grader at the Special Music School in New York City. At age 4, he began piano studies with Vera Anselmo at the Mannes Prep in New York. He was admitted to the Special Music School at age 5 and became a student of Irina Nuzova. At age 8, he made his performing debut with Bach’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor with Europa Musica Orchestra in Italy. In 2023, he performed Haydn Piano Concerto No.11 in D major with the Somerset Symphony Orchestra in the United States. Alexander won the first place in the Young Musicians Category at the V International Youth Music Competition. He is also a prize winner of the VIII Paderewski International Piano Competition and the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey. He was selected to perform at the Kaufman Music Center’s Contemporary Festival in 2022 and ComposerFest in 2023 at Merkin Hall.
