Alice Chiu is 13 years old and lives in Frisco, TX. She started to play violin during her 1st year in middle school orchestra class. She enjoyed the melody and emotional expression she could make by manipulating the strings and bow. Playing violin (and piano) became her favorite daily, and she made great progress in just two years of violin practice. She has participated in several performances and competitions in the past two years. She won Honorable Mention at The Dallas Symphonic Festival Competition in January 2024 and ranked in the top orchestra in the All-Region Frisco of TX audition. Alice also serves as the concertmaster of her middle school orchestra and provides several performances for students, parents, and the community.
