Alissa Henderson is an American soprano who received her graduate degree in music from Texas Tech University. She has performed as the Second Lady in Texas Tech University’s production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and was the alto soloist in The Lubbock Chorale’s performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria. Alissa was selected to sing the title role in Donezetti’s Rita at the 2020 Opera in the Marche Festival. She was most recently seen as Blanche in Texas Tech’s production of Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites in April of 2021. Alissa has been fortunate to work under the instruction of Dr. Rebecca Hays, and Dr. Nicole Hanig through her years of schooling. Her talents expand beyond performance and was fortunate to be awarded a SURE Grant to fund her research in theory in 2018. Alissa has also participated in the Seattle Opera Academy and Music in the Marche, a summer opera festival in Mondavio, Italy.
