Aliza Teng is a 12 year old pianist from Fremont, California. She started playing the piano at age 3 with her mother. Since then, she has studied with several amazing teachers for over 9 years and has received state honors in the Certificate of Merit with The Music Teachers’ Association of California. She has traveled and lived in many places, including Taiwan, where she won second place in the 2023 Taoyuan City Music Competition and third place in the 2024 Taiwan Excellence Music Open Competition (EMOC). She placed third in the 2024 Bellagrande International Music Competition (BIMC). Aliza cherishes piano as a wonderful and beautiful instrument, and she particularly enjoys masterpieces from the classical and romantic periods. In her spare time, she likes to read, write, and play volleyball. She has also served as the accompanist for the children’s choir at her church.
