Alma Sophia Zimmerman

Born in New York City, Alma Zimmerman began her formal violin studies at age four upon moving to Winchester, VA where she studied with Ms. Ewa Tryczynska at the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy and was a member of the Shenandoah Valley Chamber Orchestra. Living in Durham, NC since July 2020, Alma studies with Ms. Erica Shirts at the Duke University String School. In the fall of 2020, Alma received a first prize award for her performance at the DUSS Performance Festival.
