Alvin is a 9th grader at the Roxbury Latin School located at Boston, Massachusetts in USA. He started playing violin at age 5 and is studying with Marla Rubinson. Alvin has been playing violin at Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Group for 7 years. In 2023, he attended the Berkshire Summer Music Camp where he served as Assistant Concert Master at Junior Symphony Orchestra and member of musical theatre workshop. In the summer of 2024, he will attend the Young Artists Orchestra at Boston University Tanglewood Institute(BUTI). In his spare time, he loves sharing the love and passion of classical music as member of Back to Bach Project, a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to classical music education. Besides music, Alvin loves robotics and sports. He plays baseball and soccer at school, and won top prizes in several wrestling tournaments in Massachusetts.
