Alyssa Hironaka

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, Alyssa Hironaka is a pianist who graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under Dr. Jonathan Korth. She is now continuing her piano studies at UH Mānoa under Dr. Korth as a Master of Music in Piano Performance student. Ms. Hironaka was awarded gold rankings at the 2019 Beijing-Hawaiʻi International Music Festival Piano Competition and honorable mention at the 2020 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Young Artist State Piano Competition. Ms. Hironaka has performed in masterclasses by acclaimed pianists such as Jon Nakamatsu, Edward Auer, Émile Naoumoff, Haewon Song, Thomas Sauer, and Anderson and Roe. She has also performed for the Morning Music Club of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi Music Teachers Association (HMTA), and the Hawaiʻi Flute Society. Ms. Hironaka teaches piano at the Masaki School of Music in Honolulu, HI and is a graduate assistant for the Music Department of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
