Alyssa Kwon, age 15, began her musical journey at the age of nine, studying clarinet under the guidance of Hye Min Yun. With a deep passion for music, she has continually sought to express herself through melody. Since 4th grade, she has been an integral part of her school band, showcasing her talent and dedication.
In 2022, she joined the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra, further expanding her experience and honing her skills. Her accomplishments include being selected as a clarinetist for the All State Honor Band California and All Northern Honor Band California in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Additionally, she has won the US International Open Music Competition in 2023 and the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition 2024, and the American Protégé Woodwinds and Brass Competition 2024.
