Amanda Achau Nguyen

Amanda Nguyen is a 16 year old Junior at Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, Washington. She began studying
violin with Dr. Mariana Dimitrova and then Garnik Goukasian at Holy Names Music Center when she was four years old. A few years later, she also began studying piano with Yi-Chun Chen. Amanda has competed in Musicfest Northwest in both violin and piano division classes, winning multiple awards and has been featured on KPBX’s From the Studio. Amanda has been a member of Spokane Youth Symphony for 7 years and is the 2023 Concerto winner. She performed with the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra as Young Artist soloist. At school she started Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter and in the weekend she performs violin and piano at local hospital. Besides music, Amanda also excels in academics and sport. She tied for second place in 2023 4A Girls Washington State Golf Championship.
