
Amelia Bauernschmitt, 14 years-old, from Dallas, TX, has studied piano since 2½ and is a student of Dr. Violetta Zharkova. Amelia earned her first (of 10) Carnegie Hall invitation at age 8, after winning the Fryderyk Chopin Sonata and Sonatina Competition. She has also been invited to perform at the Kaufman Center twice. Notable accomplishments include, 1st Prize Awards: Golden Key International Music Festival (2023-2025), South Texas Piano Competition (2023), Suzanne Culley International Music Competition (2022), and American Protégé International Competition/Gala (2020-2022); 2nd Place: Baylor Piano Competition (2025), Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition (2023, 2024), and IGMC (2023); and 3rd Place at the London International Music Competition (2024). She completed Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10 exam at age 12. In 2025, Amelia won 1st Prize in the Dallas Solo Piano Competition, Dallas Sonatina Piano Competition, and the Fort Worth Teacher Music Association Piano Competition. Additionally, she was accepted into the Texas State International Piano Festival in South Korea.
