Amy Boedigheimer is a trumpet player based out of Ellensburg, WA with a BMus in Trumpet Performance from Central Washington University (CWU). This year she has returned to CWU as a post-baccalaureate to finish her degree in Instrumental Music Education. Amy has had a passion for music since she began playing trumpet in 2010 and has continued to work exceptionally hard at her craft as a performer. At CWU, Amy studies trumpet under the instruction of Professor John Harbaugh and has had the pleasure of performing in several CWU ensembles including the Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band I, Trumpet Quintet, and Brass Quintet. Her determination as a performer has also given her a competitive edge. Amy is honored to be recognized as the 2020 Young Artist Concerto Competition Winner for the Inland Northwest Musicians Competition in Hermiston, OR. She also placed as a semi-finalist as both a soloist (2021 & 2022) and trumpet quintet (2020 & 2021) at the National Trumpet Competition. She was recognized in three GCC competitions, named the 2021 Presser Scholar at her university awarded by the Presser Foundation, and listed as an honorable mention in the 2022 Yamaha Young Performing Artist Competition. Amy’s achievements would not have been possible without the love and support of her family, friends, and teachers.
