Anastasia Grunina is a 15 year-old pianist from Mountain View, California. Anastasia is a Merit Scholar Student at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) and has been participating in the Merit Scholarship Program since 2019. At CSMA, she studies under the guidance of Teacher Dr.Temirzhan Yerzhanov. In summer of 2021, Anastasia attended the Tateuchi Hall Summer Music Institute at CSMA, where she performed solo repertoire as well as chamber music, collaborating with various instruments such as the violin and cello. In 2021, Anastasia was awarded 1st Class Distinction (highest-scoring division) at the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exam. Anastasia is a dedicated musician as well as passionate ballerina and author. She enjoys performing classical ballet variations at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) from The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Don Quixote, etc. Yuja Wang, Evgeny Kissin, Dennis Matsuev, Vladimir Horowitz, and Katia Buniatishivili inspire Anastasia everyday to continue pursuing her passion for music.
