Andrew MacRossie is an American saxophonist, currently studying at the University of Michigan. An active performer, MacRossie was a national finalist in the 2020 Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition, and was a winner of the Paranov Concerto Competition at the Hartt School of Music. As a chamber musician, he participated in the Fischoff Chamber Competition, the North American Saxophone Alliance Chamber Competition, and the MTNA Chamber Competition. MacRossie has been invited to play at several conferences in the United States, including multiple North American Saxophone Alliance conferences and the United States Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium. In addition to his experiences as a classical saxophonist, MacRossie has performed with numerous jazz artists, including Gary Smulyan, Matt Wilson, and Peter Sommer. He holds degrees in saxophone performance from the University of Hartford (Hartt School of Music) and Colorado State University.
