Andrew Peng embarked on his remarkable violin journey at the tender age of 3. In an impressive display of his musical abilities, he learned and performed the enchanting song “Deck the Hall” at the esteemed Bunnell House Early Childhood Lab School, all without the ability to read sheet music. As he grew, his passion for the violin blossomed. At the age of 4, Andrew’s family relocated to Irvine, California, opening new doors for his musical development. It was during this time that he officially began his violin studies under the guidance of Eriko Tsuji. After just one year of formal training, he achieved a remarkable feat—winning the Royal Conservatory violin Level 1 with first-class honors with distinction. Currently, Andrew is continuing his musical education at the renowned Colburn School, where he studies under the esteemed mentorship of Mrs. Aimee Kreston at the age of 5. This exceptional learning environment has allowed Andrew to push the boundaries of his musical abilities, further honing his technique and artistry. Andrew has been granted generous scholarships by the Colburn School, enabling him to pursue his musical aspirations to the fullest. He has had the privilege of performing numerous recitals in the prestigious Mayman Hall and Zipper Concert Hall, both renowned for their stunning acoustics and artistic ambiance. Andrew’s passion and talent have earned him recognition in prestigious competitions. In the highly competitive 2022 Southern California Junior Bach Complete Works Audition Competition held in Long Beach, CA, he received an honorable mention at the age of 6. Additionally, Andrew’s outstanding performances in the Pelican Music Competition were met with great acclaim as he secured the 1st prize and Achievement in Excellence awards. Andrew Peng’s musical journey is characterized by a deep passion for the violin. As he continues to grow and evolve as a musician, his desire to inspire and connect through the beauty of music remains at the core of his artistic endeavors.
