
Andrew Zhang has been studying piano since the age of 6. Currently 14-years-old in the 9th grade, he has accumulated dozens of international and national awards related to piano including: 2nd place (2023, 2022) and 3rd Place (2021) in the American Protégé International Piano Competition, invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC in 2023 and 2022; 1st place (2022) and 2nd place (2023) in National MTNA piano competition; 1st place (2024) in the Music of America: Great Composers International Music Competition; 2nd place (2023, awarded cash prize) and Merit Prize winner (2022) in The OPUS National Music Competition; 1st place (2023) and 2nd place (2022) in Artist of the Year: Great Composers International Music Competition; 1st place (2022) and 2nd place (2021) in the Art of Piano: Great Composers International Music Competition; 1st place in the Alabama State MTNA auditions 2020-2024 (5 years in a row) etc. For the past 5 years, he has been a student of Dr. Jeremy Samolesky. He is passionate about piano and enjoys performing. Aside from piano, Andrew enjoys tennis, traveling, Rubik’s cube, math club, Minecraft and playing with his little brother.
