Angad Pal is a 14-year-old rising high school sophomore in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Although he started learning piano in middle school, it was only recently that he felt a strong connection with piano music. This summer, he received third prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition. Aside from the piano, he started learning the violin in fifth grade at his school, and he is now a member of his school’s orchestra. Particular genres Angad enjoys are romantic era pieces, Argentine tango, and covers of modern pieces. Beyond his musical pursuits, Angad has a strong interest in math, for which he will take classes at the University of Michigan this year. In addition, he co-leads his school’s math club which has won several awards, and he participates in math competitions.
