Angela is currently a third-year student at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, majoring in Vocal Performance and Music Education. Angela sings with the Oakland Chorale, the university’s elite touring choral ensemble, has served on the Chorale Tour Committee, and currently serves as Choir Librarian. Since beginning at Oakland, she has performed with the Golden Grizzly Jazz Singers, the Gracenotes A Capella women’s ensemble, the Steel Band, and has performed in Kurt Weill’s “Street Scene” and sang the role of sister Constance in Poulenc’s opera “Dialogues of the Carmelites” through Oakland’s opera program. Angela currently sings as the Soprano Section Leader and Soloist at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac and occasionally cantors at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak. She has competed in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Michigan Fall competition and earned first and second place awards over the past three years. She serves as the Oakland University Representative on the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA) Student Activities Board, and is currently the President of the Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) Colony at Oakland University, working together with a group of women musicians to start an official chapter of SAI at her university. Angela has taken voice lessons since age 14 and piano lessons since age 9, and loves performing in musical theater productions as well as operas and with choirs. Her musical goals are to direct choirs, to teach private music lessons, and to sing professionally.
