Anli Ishida

Anli Ishida is a 15 year old cellist from Irvine, California. She has been playing the cello for 8 years, and is currently studying with Laszlo Mezo at Orange County Music and Dance. Anli has won 1st place in Satori, Amici Chamber Competition, and the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, as well as a prizewinner in ASTA. She has also been part of organizations such as the Orange County Youth Symphony, Junior Chamber Music, Violins of Hope, and Orange County Music and Dance Orchestra. She was also selected to be part of the Orange County Youth Symphony Quartet, and she had multiple opportunities to perform at various opening ceremonies such as the Bowers Museum, OCMA, and other events/galas. Anli has performed at the Architect of Peace Gala 2021 at the Richard Nixon Library in a trio with her sisters. She also participated in the Académie Internationale de Musique Hourtin Médoc Spring Seminar 2022, where she received lessons from Veronique Marin (professor at the CNSMD Paris). Anli likes to listen to French and German musicals, as well as movie soundtracks in her free time.
