Anna Edgcomb, 17, lives in Long Grove, Illinois and is in the 12th grade at Stevenson High School, where she has been the principal oboist of the Honor Band for two years. She has also been a member of the Midwest Young Artists Conservatory Symphony Orchestra for two years and studies oboe with Marissa LeFevre. She was selected as the principal oboist in ILMEA’S (Illinois Music Educators Association) District 7 Bands in 2021 and 2022, along with being selected as third chair oboist in the ILMEA All-State Honors Band in 2022 and principal oboist in the ILMEA All-State Honors Band in 2023. She was the winner of the Walgreen’s Concerto Competition winds division in 2021, and was finalist in the Fox River Grove Concerto Competition in 2023. Her favorite Symphony is Mahler Symohony No. 1, but she loves all classical music!
