Annette Ming is a first-year music major at Stanford University. She started singing at the age of 11, performed at Carnegie Hall at the age of 13, and received her Associate of the Royal Schools of Music diploma with Distinction at the age of 16. Throughout her high school career, she won several young artists competitions, most recently the 2019 International Young Artists Competition under the National League of Performing Arts. Annette also successfully auditioned for the American Choral Directors Association’s National Honor Choirs for nearly a decade. Annette just debuted her edition of a cantata made from extracts of the baroque opera La santa Genuinda in a personal virtual recital featured by Stanford’s Department of Music. Annette studies with mezzo-soprano Wendy Hillhouse, and she is coached by Marie-Louise Catsalis, Laura Dahl, and Steven Lightburn.
