Armin Aslani Norton

Armin fell in love with guitar when he was only four years old when he saw a musician playing guitar at an event in a park. He started practicing classical guitar a year later at age five at the Music Institute of Chicago, where he’s studied with Mr. Jeremiah Benham for the past five years. He has been practicing every day since then!

Armin never shied away from performance. He’s played at MIC events, summer workshops at Northwestern University, and different events around town. He’s most proud of raising $3,119 for the Afghan refugees through GoFundMe (https://bit.ly/3qnCT5K) by playing guitar at the Winnetka Farmers Market and at a local restaurant, Tocco. He donated all funds to the Muslim Women Resource Center, the group that worked directly with refugees resettled to Chicago.
