
Avaline Wang is a 5th grader from Saratoga, California. She began her piano journey at the age of 5 and currently studies under Professor Hans Boepple. In 2024, she was honored to perform at Carnegie Hall through American Protégé as the 2nd prize winner in the International Competition of Romantic Music. She has also received recognition in other competitions, including 1st prize in the Treasury of Classical Composers at the United States Open Music Competition (USOMC) in 2023, 2nd prize in the Open Solo category at USOMC 2022, and as a Young Artist Award Piano Solo finalist in the United States International Music Competition in 2022.
She has branched out her musical interests to violin and drums, but her first love remains the piano. Beside music, she loves playing tennis, performing in musicals, and reading.
Avaline Wang performs Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor, Op. Posth. by Frédéric Chopin for the 2025 International Piano Competition as part of the Charleston International Music Competition.
