Born and raised in California, Ben Rosales, age 12, has been studying piano for over 3 years and is a proud student of Ms. Jesica Yap. He has been playing piano since he was 8 years old. Ben loves music and is humbled to be able to have the opportunity to learn and play piano with the limited resources available to him.
Ben is currently in 7th grade and goes to Golden Oak Community School. He has performed in 6 piano recitals held by Ms. Yap.
Recently, Ben performed in a Grade 2 RSL Exam and passed with Distinction (Grade 1 and 2), the highest achievable level. Besides playing piano, Ben loves to play games and sports, draw, read, and travel. His favorite place to visit is Disneyland.
In addition, Ben is a scholar, earning all threes in his classes, which is equivalent to an A, and some fours, which is equivalent to an A+, in his classes at Golden Oak. He likes to participate in school activities and was elected by his fellow students as Treasurer in Student Council, which is a student body organization, dedicated to engaging and creating fun, positive activities for students, while encouraging leadership, responsibility, respect and inclusion for all.
Ben has a wonderful, and supportive family that he loves and cares for, which includes his mom, dad, older sister, Alexa, and younger brother, Duke. His siblings are also proud students of Ms. Jesica, and his sister, Alexa, has also been recognized for her outstanding piano achievements, as well.
