My name is Bethany Rech, and music has been one of my passions for as long as I can remember. I have been homeschooled for my whole life, and I am currently a junior in high school. Though I began playing the piano as soon as I could reach the keys, I formally started taking piano lessons at age six, a pastime I have pursued diligently for over a decade under the expert instruction of both Janice Phelps and Dr. William Newbrough. I have been a part of multiple recitals and competitions, and I also serve as the accompanist for Alfred-Almond Central School, a position I have held since I was 13.
The desire I have for my musical performances is to demonstrate that anyone can enjoy music on a deep level. I am still a student, and I make mistakes! However, I seek to be a living example that talented performers can come from even the humblest of circumstances. I love sharing my musical gifts through performance in the hope that it will inspire someone else, and open their eyes to the joy and transforming power of music.
