Brandon Kang is a sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School. He has been playing the viola for five years and currently is a student of Minji Kim. He participates as the principal violist in his school orchestra and a principal violist of the Symphony Orchestra in Golden State Youth Orchestra. He participated in the California All-State Orchestras in 2023 and as a principal violist in 2024. He was also the principal violist in the Festival Orchestra for the Bay Area Youth Orchestra Festival in 2024. He is a prizewinner in the Silicon Valley Music Competition and United States International Music Competition, and a winner of the Junior Bach Festival. He will participate in the Young Performers Program at Music@Menlo this summer.
