Brandon Luo

Brandon Luo, 14, is a ninth grader from Apex, NC, who began his piano study with Florence Ko at age five. Since then, he has competed in many piano competitions and has won many awards. He won first place in the 2018-2019 Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) Junior Competition at the state level, RPTA Young Artist Auditions, Charles F.T. Nakarai Piano Competition, International Great Composers Competition in multiple categories, American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, RPTA Scholarship Competition, CAPTA Bullard Competition, Raleigh Music Club Competition, as well as the State Royalty Competitions, NC Federation of Music Clubs State Competition “Mary Davis Memorial Award”, “Maxine Taylor Fountain Award” and “NCFMC Past Presidents Award”. In 2017, he performed at Carnegie Hall. Recently, he won first place in the East Carolina University Piano Competition and the Great Masters International Piano Competition. In addition to music, Brandon likes playing video games and watching movies.
