Brian is a 9th grader at Westfield HS in Chantilly, VA and entering Chantilly Governor’s STEM Academy for AFJROTC.
Born and raised in Fairfax, VA, Brian began piano lessons at the age of 7 with Mrs. Dominique Shim.
His piano teacher, Mrs. Dominique Shim, has introduced him to great and inspirational music and provides continual positive encouragement.
Brian has been awarded various prizes and awards at many competitions such as International Grande Music Competition and YMIC Metropolitan music festival competition. He has gotten honors in NVMTA Sonata festival for 5 years and superior ratings in National Federation of Music Club festival for 5 years. He enjoys playing the viola and drum. He recently enrolled into Juilliard Extension for high school students.
He is on the school track team as a shot put/discus thrower and plans to run cross country with his friends in the fall. The activity he takes most pride in at school is being a cadet of AFJROTC.
He enjoys participating in color guard events such as homecoming parades and graduation ceremonies. His instructors and fellow cadets have formed, essentially, a second family in the program. He is determined in continuing the class throughout his high school years.
