Brian Pao is an 11-year-old piano player from California who started playing piano when he was seven years old. In first grade, he started to perform at the talent shows in school. During fourth grade, he obtained the Certificate of Merit for Piano- Level 7, sponsored by The Music Teachers’ Association of California® (MTAC). With the guidance and instruction of the piano teacher, he keeps improving his technique and learning how to articulate the character of the music which further led him to the Honorable Mention Award in Bay Area Piano Summer Competition 2023 and the State Honors awarded with the Certificate of Merit 2024 for Piano- Level 8. He also played the piano accompaniment for around 200 other fifth graders as they sang Christmas carols in winter 2023. He currently lives in Arizona.
