Bryan Yeonwoo Armasu

Bryan Yeonwoo Armasu

Bryan Armasu is a ninth grade student currently attending John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minnesota. He began playing the violin when he was nine years old. After taking a break for several years, he recently started playing the violin again when he was thirteen because he was extremely motivated by online recordings performed by famous musicians. Excellent experience in playing an alto saxophone when he was in middle school also helped him gain confidence to restart playing the violin. Since then it has been 15 months and he now plays in the Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestra (SEMYO). He also holds leadership positions within SEMYO, including Chamber String manager and SEMYO Ambassador. When he doesn’t play the violin, he teaches computer coding to young students. To him, music is a chance to meet new people, learn about different places and to provide enjoyable challenges.
