Chaean Lee

A 14 year old pianist, Chaean Lee, started piano at age seven in South Korea. She enjoys expressing her feelings through music and loves performing for a live audience. Her dream is to become a composer of new music in the future. In Korea, Chaean was a special prize winner three years in a row in piano competition, Junior Standard Music Concours in 2016-18. After moving to Arizona, she has been a prize winner of numerous competitions, such as Merit Scholarship Auditions by Tucson Music Teachers Association (TMTA) and Honors Recital Auditions by Arizona State Music Teachers Association in 2021-23. As an Honors Society Member of TMTA, Chaean often performs in many recitals including Kudos Recitals, Festival In the Mall and Command Performance for the Tucson Community. In 2023, Chaean successfully completed level 10 of the Arizona Study Program with Superior Honors and plans to complete level 12 in May 2024. Chaean will be a 9th grader at Basis Oro Valley in the fall and has been studying piano under the guidance of Dr. Ji-Young Kim.
