Chanse Morris is a freelance clarinetist and private lesson teacher in the greater Houston area. He enjoys collaborating with other artists and is an advocate of new music. Morris has been a prize winner of many competitions including the International Clarinet Association’s 2021 Clareidoscope Competition, Odin International Music Competition, Glory International Music Competition, Sound Espressivo Global Competition, Great Composers Competition, and the Vandoren Emerging Artist Competition. He has performed substitute clarinet with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2018-2019 season, principal clarinet with the Greece Symphony Orchestra (Rochester, NY) in 2019, and participated in the Marrowstone Music Festival (Bellingham, WA) the summer of 2019. Morris holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and The University of Texas at Austin. His primary teachers include Kenneth Grant and Jonathan Gunn.
