Charles Lee

Charles Lee is an 8th grader at Lakeside School, and he started playing the cello at the age 4. He has received numerous awards from many music competitions. In 2021, he won the first place at Simon Fiset Strings Competition and placed 2nd at Washington Korean Music Association Youth Competition. Also, he was chosen as an alternate winner in the Junior String division at WA state Music Teachers national Association Competition. At the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside in past years; Best of Divisions-Outstanding Performance in Cello, 1st place in Concerto Division, and 1st place in Solo Division. He has received Seals of Recognition in both Concerto and Complete programs in the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival. In 2018, he won Best Sound in the Elementary Division of the Simon-Fiset Competition. He is a recipient of Carlsen Cello Foundation.
