Chen (Jessica) Zhou is a 14-year-old high school student. She is a high achieving student. She is also extremely passionate about music, she currently plays three instruments. Piano, being her main instrument, viola, and percussion. Chen enjoys playing both classical and jazz music, she has performed many solo classical piano pieces and also takes the role as the jazz piano player in her school’s Jazz ensemble. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the viola in orchestras, she is principle violist in Irvine Classical Players and second chair in Young Artist Orchestra of LA. Recently, she has also found her interest in percussion, she plays percussion in her school’s Symphonic Band and in the 2023-2024 High School marching band season she is part of the pit section.
