“Chenyu Wang, born in China, made his solo debut when he studied at Affiliated middle school of Shenyang Conservatory. He continued his studies with Danwen Wei and Dongni Ma at Shenyang Conservatory of Music, China, where he got Bachelor of Music degree. Later Wang earned Master of Music at University of South Carolina, studying with Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers. In 2020 Wang received Graduate Professional Diploma at Hartt school, University of Hartford where was under the guidance of Paul Rutman. Currently he is graduate teaching assistant at School of Music, The Ohio State University, studying with Steven Glaser. As an active soloist, he has played recitals at various cities in China and in 2018 he became the member of Hartford Musical Club where he receives music scholarship and performs regularly. Wang has been awarded top prizes including KAWAI Asia Chopin piano competition in 2014, 3rd prize in YAMAHA Asia piano competition in 2014, finalist in 5th Paderewski International Piano Competition in Hartford and 2nd prize of J. S. Bach Music Festival in CT in 2020”
