Chloe Ann Scarola

Cellist Chloe Scarola is a high school senior at UNCSA. Originally from Wilmington, NC, Chloe began learning the cello in sixth grade at Murray Middle School, where she won the performing arts award. She began taking private lessons first with Michelle Collar, later with Andrew Anagnost in 2021, and currently under Dr. Brooks Whitehouse since 2022. She attended her first two years of high school at Coastal Christian High School where she was involved in several music groups. Chloe has performed with the Brooklyn Arts Music Academy, the Wilmington Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Junior Eastern Regional Orchestra, a variety of chamber groups, CCHS musicals, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and has served as the principal cellist of both the CCHS Chamber Orchestra and the Honors Instrumental Ensemble. Chloe is also a founding member of Unchambered, a contemporary chamber group whose goal is to make classical music accessible to modern-day audiences. Unchambered has toured North Carolina, and has produced music videos highlighting popular music genres. When she is not playing cello, Chloe enjoys scuba diving, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends.
