Colin McHugh, age 13, has been playing the piano for two years and is currently a student of Dr.Xinzhu Ma at the Chopin Academy of Music in Issaquah, Washington. He has been awarded a silver medal in the SIPF’s 2024 Classical Viennese Festival, a bronze medal in the SIPF’s 2023 Bach Festival, a Silver Medal in the SIPF’s 2023 Virtuoso Festival, and a Gold medal in the SIPF’s 2024 Virtuoso Festival. Colin is a member of the Snoqualmie Strings chamber orchestra. He participated in a masterclass with Robert Brooks Carlson at the Chopin Academy of Music. Colin performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City and Benaroya Hall in Seattle during the Spring of 2024.
