
Dahmin Lee, sixteen, is a 11th grade student at Clarksburg High School in Maryland. He has been playing violin since he was 7 years old. He is a passionate violinist contributing at his school, within local orchestras, churches, and senior homes, nongovernment organizations(NGO) in Africa, etc. He is currently a member of Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra(MCYO)and he’s been enjoying being a member of MCYO for 7 years. He has been selected Maryland All-Sate Honors Orchestra for 3 years and Montgomery All-County Honors Orchestra for 4 consecutive years. He has participated in numerous local and international competitions. He was selected as an outstanding soloist in the 2022 Montgomery county school music showcase festival. He won prizes in the Maryland state music teachers association 2021 string plus competition(2nd place) and 2023 solo string competition(3rd place). He won 2023 Asian american music society international competition (honorable mention), 2023 European autumn music competition (gold prize), 2033 Charleston international music competition romantic music competition: violin solo(3rd place), 2023 European winter music competition (silver prize), 2023 MLA music legend award(gold prize), 2024 European classical music awards grand prix (annual grand champion, gold prize, annual engaging pperformance special prize), 2024 World master open music competition 2024 Season 1 (silver prize), 2024 International Music Competition Great Composers Competition Best Mendelssohn Performance and the Music of Australia (3rd Prize), 2024 Erik Satie International Music Competition (gold Prize). He has joined the Young Musicians Inspiring Change (YMIC) and enjoys sharing the power of music to bring joy and unity across diverse communities.
