Dana Park

Dana Park, a 14-year old 9th grader attending Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, California, is a passionate pianist who started learning the piano at age 5. She recently participated and was awarded a scholarship in the Interlochen Art Camp as a Piano major. Instructed by Dr. Hyunsoon Whang, a professor of piano performance at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, she refined her piano performance skills and alongside several other young pianists from around the world where she deepened her love of music and found herself wanting to pursue piano in the future. She played piano in various local events and venues. And she participated as a keyboard player in her school. Additionally, she is also a violinist in the San Diego Youth Symphony’s highest-leveling ensemble, Symphony Orchestra and is also in her school’s Chamber Orchestra. She is currently studying under Eunyoung Kim and she is in the process of testing the Certificate of Merit Piano Advanced level. Outside of her musical journey, she has a talent and achievements in visual arts. She has won several local and national awards, one of which includes being awarded as one of the top ten in her age group at the Celebrating Arts Competition. In her free time, she enjoys listening to jazz and classical music and connects to her friends she met at camp.
