
Daniel Sesang Park, 16, is a junior at Westview High School in San Diego, California. His passion for the piano ignited at the age of four and is currently under Ms. Sunyung Cho. He has earned top honors in several competitions: first place in the Charleston International Music Competition(2023), the San Diego MTAC Piano Sonata Contest (2017, 2020, 2022). He also won awards at H.B. Goodlin Scholarship Competition (Third, 2023), the Southern California Junior Bach Festival (Bronze, 2022), San Diego MTAC Chopin Festival (Second, 2023), and San Diego MTAC Concerto Competition (Third, 2023). He also successfully completed the MTAC CM Advanced Level with State Honor award (2024).
Beyond his musical accomplishments, Daniel is the founder of Gentle Keys, a community initiative that brings live piano music to local senior homes. A passionate advocate for both the arts and civic engagement, he is also a writer, student leader, and dedicated volunteer within his community.
