Daria Maslennikova is a 5th grade student from Russia, currently living in Texas, US. She started playing piano in 2020 when she was 6 years old. Daria is passionate about classical music and becoming a world-class musician to share her passion for music with others. Her favorite composer is Frederic Chopin.
She is a student of Maria Pekina. This is her 5th piano competition. In the past, she was awarded 1st prize in the 2022 Charleston International Music Competition, 1st prize in the 2022 13th World Open Music Competition, Grand prize in 2021, and 2nd prize in the 2020 Hwarang International Music Competition in South Korea, where she lived before moving to the US.
Besides playing piano, Daria also plays violin and performs with the Dallas Symphony Young Musicians Orchestra, where she had a chance to perform on stage at venues like Meyerson Symphony Center. She enjoys visual arts and studying the history of world music.
