David Kuo is 14 years old; he started playing violin as a third grader. He is a member of the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra (2021-) and a student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division (2022-). His former violin teachers are Cindy Lin and Francisco Fullana. Currently, he studies with Eric Chin at the SFCM Pre-College. David won first prize in the 2023 New Asia International Music Competition and four prizes in the Great Composers Competitions (violin & piano). He was also the concertmaster at California (CODA) Junior High All-State Concert Orchestra in 2022. David also studies piano by himself. Outside of music, he is a huge fan of sports and plays for the varsity volleyball team at his middle school.
