David Yu started to learn piano at the age of 6. as he shows deep passion for learning and playing new types of music. He has won First Place in the “Elite International Music Competition”, Gold Medal award in the “AADGT ‘Passion of Music’”, Gold Medal Award in the “AADGT ‘Album Young Gifted Performers’”, First Prize Award “‘Golden Classical Music Award’ International Competition”, and First Prize Winner for”2023 International Music Competition ‘Barcelona’ Grand Prize Virtuoso”. On top of competing in piano competitions, David plays the cello in the San Diego Youth Symphony, and participated in the “San Diego Symphony High School Ambassador Program”. Some of David’s favorite composers are Beethoven and Rachmaninoff.
