Derick is a 6th grader and started piano lessons when he was 5 years old. He has won 2nd Place in the 2021 NJTYMA Russian Music Competition and High Honors in both the 2022 and 2023 NJMTA Spring Recital Auditions (New Jersey Music Teachers Association). He is also a Second Prize Winner in the Charleston’s 19th Century Competition 2024. In addition to music, he plays soccer in the travel soccer team, tennis, and skiing.
