Derick Wang is a 7th grader from Palo Alto, California. He began studying piano at the age of five and is currently studying piano with Amy Chiu. Derick was accepted and performed in the 2022, 2023, 2024 Summer Festival at Interlochen Center for the Arts. He was also selected through competitive audition as a featured performer in the Interlochen Honors Recital, American Protégé Winners Recital, and numerous Honors Recitals at Opus 1 Music Studio in Silicon Valley. Derick loves discovering the expressiveness and diverse voices in music.
