Diana Esther Kats is thirteen-year old musician currently attending Denver School of the Arts.
At the age of 2 she knew over 120 songs in English & Russian by memory. When she was 4 she loved singing Michael Jackson songs and playing the piano. At age of 5 she decided to switch to violin. Her passion to violin was first uncovered when she first started to listen to Vanessa Mae’s performances. Diana’s first public violin performance with an orchestra was when she was 7 years old at Colorado Christian University.
She is currently studying violin with Lydia Sviatlovskaya, a former Concertmaster of the Colorado Ballet Orchestra.
Diana loves classical music and her musical journey includes winning multiple prizes held by the Music Teachers National Association ( MTNA), winning first prize at Elite International Music Competition, for which she performed at Carnegie Hall in June 2024, and Young Artists Solo Competition held by Evergreen Chamber Orchestra back in 2023. At age 13 Diana attended Lamont Summer Academy where she was chosen to perform honors solo and chamber recitals while receiving master classes from Professor of Violin Igor Pikayzen and Sarah Whitnah.
Diana is a concertmaster at Middle School Orchestra at DSA (Denver School of the Arts). Second prize winner of 2024 Romantic Music Competition at Charleston International Music Competition. Gold medal winner as an Outstanding Concert Soloist of 2025 Festival Disney-Student Music Competition with DSA Middle School Orchestra.
In her free time Diana loves listening to music artists Itzhak Perlman, Eva Zavaro, Hilary Hahn, Vanessa-Mae and go to Bravo! Vail Music Festival to listen to various invited music artists.
Summer of 2025 she will attend Yehudi Menuhin Summer School Music program in London and Carlsbad Music Festival in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
