Diane Jung is a young pianist who began her journey with piano at the tender age of 5 years old. She started playing under the guidance of her piano teacher, Jeeae Kim. Even as a sixth grader, she has won numerous awards at prestigious competitions, including but not limited to winning the grand prize at the International Music Competition, 1st place in the Bay Area Global Music Competition, 2nd place in both the American Protege International Contest and the US Open Music Competition, and is ranked fourth in piano for her age group throughout California. She also recently achieved the honor of winning both 1st and 2nd place in the US Open International Music Competition and 2nd place in the Charleston Music competitions. Not only does she frequently partake in competitions, but she also has performed at a staggering amount of concerts. Other than piano, her hobbies include drawing, reading, and taekwondo, which she also does competitively. She looks forward to improving her piano skills further, and is excited to see her future prospects in piano competitions.
