Dong Suk Dennis Lee

Born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in China, Dong Suk (Dennis) Lee began his violin studies at the age of thirteen. At the age of fourteen, Dong Suk moved to Interlochen, Michigan to study under Hal Grossman at the Interlochen Arts Academy and then went on to pursue undergraduate studies with David Updegraff at the Cleveland Institute of Music and graduate studies with Patinka Kopec at the Manhattan School of Music. During his time in the United States, Dong Suk has performed the Conus Violin Concerto for a masterclass with Gerardo Ribeiro at the Bienen School of Music. He was also at the Interlochen Arts Camp and NHSMI music festival at the Northwestern University where he performed as the festival orchestras’ concertmaster. Currently Dong Suk is continuing his studies at the Columbia University as a dual degree student pursuing an additional master’s degree in music education.
